Syspertec Communication publishes two product lines:

• VIRTEL: web-enabling for 3270 legacy applications

Years of experience with communication software products including Minitel-based solutions went into developing VIRTEL, a second generation Web-enabling solution for 3270 legacy applications like CICS and IMS.

Unlike many web solution developers who joined that industry in the past 6 to 10 years, SysperTec Communication's experts have over 20 years of experience with the development of communication software products that simplify the integration of corporate applications and networks.  They got their start in the early 1980s with Minitel, the ubiquitous French videotext network application, which years before the advent of the Internet and World Wide Web could already be found in many French homes, businesses, and government offices.

In 2000, Syspertec Communication used their leading position and experience as a Minitel solution provider to develop VIRTEL, a product line that instantly extends 3270 legacy applications (CICS and IMS) to the web and allows transforming them into full-featured web applications: similar base technology as Minitel but a different application.  VIRTEL users like Peugeot-Citroën and Atos Origin have been able to extend the value of their legacy applications, while at the same time reaping the benefit of newer technologies like TCP/IP, HTML, and XML.
